Hello, my name is Sarah.
I am a Children’s Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist.
Counselling:
Hello and welcome.
Young people face many challenges in the modern world which can be hard to understand and navigate as an individual or as a family and, at times, may require additional support.
As a young person’s therapist, I am passionate and dedicated to supporting young people through these turbulent times, with acceptance and empathy for the challenging times you may be facing.
I will work with you or your young person empathically and creatively, using arts and play-based techniques individually tailored to your young person, creating space and exploring their world, to support self-concept and emotional resilience. I believe collaboration is essential to working with young people and I work carefully and sensitively with young people and their families, to bring about the best in each person.
As a person-centred practitioner, my work is based on a deep respect for people, and I am committed to empowering people to explore their own understandings and make their own choices. I emphasise the importance of connection and relationship in all my work.
I believe in connection to the natural world is also fundamental to positive emotional health and offer therapeutic work using the natural world and natural materials. Along with my dedicated therapy space, I also offer a small therapeutic garden to explore and support our work together.
